Mongolian voices shine at Inspiring Asia Micro Film Festival

Inspiring Asia Micro Film Festival 2025

For the first time, Mongolia is participating in the Inspiring Asia Micro Film Festival, and we’re making an impact. Six Mongolian films have been selected to compete from almost 900 submissions across Asia. Two of these films advanced to the grand finals in Singapore on 25 October, and we’re proud to celebrate that one of the films won the “Best Project” award.

To celebrate this achievement and recognise our filmmakers’ efforts, Lorinet Foundation organised a special screening event on 20 October, with support from the Inspiring Asia Main Committee, Li Foundation and Golomt Foundation. The evening brought together community members, partners, filmmakers, mental health industry experts and changemakers to watch all six films and participate in important conversations about youth mental health.

The films are now available to watch online. We invite everyone to watch these inspiring micro films here.

Why Youth Mental Well-Being Matters

Youth mental health is one of the most urgent yet overlooked challenges in Asia today. Globally, around 20% of young people experience anxiety, and nearly one in four show symptoms of depression. Many struggle in silence-facing emotional isolation while access to care remains uneven across the region.

In Mongolia, the need for support is even more urgent. Mongolia is one of the leading countries in youth suicide rate in the region.

Why We Support

Lorinet Foundation aims to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing our country’s youth. This collaboration does exactly that, it elevates voices of Mongolian youth with lived experiences and spotlights locally driven solutions that foster resilience and mental well-being.
