Lorinet Foundation Partners with Inspiring Asia to Spotlight Mongolia at the Micro Film Festival

Lorinet Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Inspiring Asia for the Micro Film Festival 2025, to empower Mongolian youth and showcase innovative solutions at this initiative that harnesses the power of short films to spotlight untold stories and emerging perspectives across Asia.

About Inspiring Asia

Inspiring Asia is a regional platform that empowers creatives to share stories that foster empathy, inclusion, and social innovation. Its flagship event, the Micro Film Festival, showcases short films from across Asia and celebrates the diversity and resilience of its people.

About the Micro Film Festival

This year’s theme, Youth Mental Well-Being, addresses one of the most urgent yet under-recognised challenges facing young people today. Globally, nearly 20% of youth experience anxiety and one in four show symptoms of depression—many suffer in silence due to stigma, emotional isolation, and limited access to care.

Under the shared call to action, To Be Seen, the festival invites filmmakers, students, NGOs, and changemakers to submit short films that shed light on the mental health realities of youth in Asia—through personal narratives or impactful initiatives that are implemented on-the-ground.

Each region will advance to the main competition in Singapore to compete for the highest recognition and prizes of up to USD 100,000.

Spotlight on Mongolia

For the first time, Mongolia will be featured as one of the official regions at the festival. Through this partnership, Lorinet Foundation aims to raise awareness of the country’s challenges and opportunities—particularly those areas affecting youth. The collaboration will also elevate voices of Mongolian youth with lived experiences and spotlight locally driven solutions that foster resilience and mental well-being.

Submissions are open until 10 September 2025.
