Lorinet Foundation Convenes Partners to Celebrate Collaboration and Impact in 2024

As 2024 comes to an end, Lorinet Foundation convened its partners to celebrate impactful collaborations, reflect on shared achievements, and foster knowledge exchange.

The gathering brought together our portfolio, knowledge, and ecosystem partners in Mongolia, including OneSky, The Asia Foundation, Zorig Foundation, Christina Noble Children’s Foundation, The Nature Conservancy, UNICEF, AmCham, and others.

The event commenced with Tamir Batsaikhan, Mongolia Country Director, providing a summary of 2024 highlights and shared achievements. Together with our partners, we have begun scaling existing initiatives, welcomed new grant programmes, formed our first direct partnership with the government, continued leading thematic networks, and made significant efforts to raise awareness of Mongolia’s social impact landscape among both local and international players.

As a customary practice, the convening also served as a platform for knowledge exchange. Participants explored recent regulatory changes aimed at incentivising private sector CSR efforts, such as corporate tax income deductions. While recognising the potential of these novel regulations to channel more private capital into the social impact sector, attendees also discussed the uncertainties surrounding their application and practical implementation. They agreed to work together to better understand the regulations and explore opportunities for collaborative policy advocacy to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.

The gathering concluded with a networking dinner. It is pleasing to learn that our partners acknowledge our efforts in convening like-minded players, enabling cross-learning, and fostering collaboration among our partners and beyond.

Lorinet Foundation remains steadfast in our belief in the power of collective action to drive lasting impact. We extend our deepest gratitude to our partners for their continued dedication and for joining us on this journey to create meaningful change.
