A year of pathways to scale and the people they reach
2025 Impact Brief
This brief shares how 2025 unfolded for Lorinet Foundation — what the year showed us about long-term commitment, scale, and the patient work of strategic philanthropy.
The heart of this brief lies in two sets of stories: Four Pathways to Scale and Resource Mobilisation.
Our Grantmaking
Four Pathways to Scale
In 2025, our four thematic partners collectively reached 14,255 children, youth, and the adults who shape their lives. Each moved closer to scale through a different pathway. Each pathway ran through government as the system that can carry the work forward.

Unlocking regional philanthropic resources for local impact
Resource Mobilisation
Beyond investing our own resources, we bridge global philanthropic resources with Mongolia's local social impact ecosystem. Mongolia offers a unique opportunity for strategic philanthropy where modest investments can reach far. But local philanthropy remains nascent and international funders rarely look in our direction. Closing that distance is part of how proven solutions in Mongolia can find the resources to grow.
In 2025, partnering with the Inspiring Asia Microfilm Festival directly aligned with our bridge-building role: putting Mongolia's voices and homegrown solutions on a regional stage around an issue where the country's need is among the most urgent in Asia.
Mongolia featured for the first time as an official region.
Six Mongolian films selected from over 860 submissions across more than 50 countries.
Good Neighbors Mongolia won the Best Project Award — the prize will fund expansion of its youth mental-health peer-support project into a rural province in 2026.
As our work began to scale, a circle of close friends joined our mission, bringing resources that have extended the reach of proven solutions.
Lasting change at scale is only possible through the collective efforts of those who share a deep conviction that every child and young person, no matter where they come from, deserves the chance to thrive. Quiet and generous, these friends are the steady force behind what we do.
US$228K
Resources mobilised to Mongolia in 2024 and 2025
US$164K – unrestricted support from friends of the foundation.
US$64K – mobilised from the Inspiring Asia Main Committee, Li Foundation, and Golomt Foundation.
The wins of 2025 are doors opened, not journeys completed. True scale depends on what happens after the signature on a policy document: implementation, translation into daily practice, and the patient work of embedding. Our portfolio partners are committed to advancing this next phase, and we will continue walking alongside them — committing our own resources and mobilising more to enable scale.
